Meta-Physician On Call: Is Revenge “Bad Karma”? by Dr. Steven E. Hodes
Those of us who believe that karma serves to balance all actions can allow this force to act for our benefit as well. We do not have to do anything. Rather than react with vengeance and likely accrue our own ‘bad karma’, just accept the truth that justice will prevail. Ultimately, our own healing is best served through remembering who we are--spiritual beings having a human experience. This requires us to face emotionally painful situations and respond to them with this powerful awareness to the best of our abilities.

Beijing 'to talk to Dalai aides' by BBC News
Chinese officials will hold talks with the Dalai Lama's representatives, state media say, in the first meeting since rioting broke out in Tibet last month.
Xinhua news agency quoted an official as saying a meeting would take place "in coming days".
A spokesman for the Tibetan spiritual leader welcomed the offer of talks...
"The resumption of dialogue carries some real hope," he said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the US embassy in Beijing hailed the announcement as a "very positive development".
And EU commissioner Jose Manuel Barroso, who earlier discussed Tibet with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, said he was "very happy".

Practicing Conscious Living and Dying: Stories of the Eternal Continuum of Consciousness by Annamaria Hemingway
A society that tends to ignore “death, dying and the bereaved,” Hemingway believes, leads to “fear and alienation” and a sense of being “traumatized and alone” when death touches our lives. Acknowledging death and the dying process allows us to become “free to live life more fully,” and leads to an understanding of the connectedness of all beings. Viewing death as a transition, not an ending, is an “invitation to continue the work of the healer, the poet, and the philosopher – who use their creative gifts in the service of humanity.”

Healing Through Trees; How Mass Tree Planting Is Reversing The Effects Of Climate Change In Tamil Nadu by Clare Dakin
In 2005, just after the tsunami that swept away so many lives and livelihoods, a group of volunteers from The Isha Foundation were starting the job of rehabilitating the devastated coast of Tamil Nadu, Southern India. They noticed that coastal villages that were forested suffered significantly less damage than those that were not, and an idea arose. Could trees be a tool to reconnect people to their hearts, to their grief and to their land?

Why Are You Here by Ross Bishop
Accepting that humans are incredibly creative and adaptive, and that many people courageously venture into the unknown, what shuts us down when it comes to enlightenment? If enlightenment or, as I refer to it, “the God Space,” was painful or life threatening like mountain climbing or motorcycle racing, we could understand why so few people accepted the challenge. But while tens of thousands of people risk death and injury racing motorcycles and climbing mountains, only a very few earnestly pursue enlightenment.

Let me be. Let me see. By Stephen Thomson
This is really how all of our days had gone, experiencing the powerful yet simple teachings of this Shaman. Furthermore, as each day passed, it became more and more evident that Jorge’s teachings were in stark contrast to our group’s western, over-thought, more complicated approach to spiritual the path. There was a great and loving presence to his way. And in one sentence he transformed some of the most complex spiritual principles we knew. We had his simple, child-like and playful voice to follow as direction. You want to fly, flap your wings and soar. And at another time, close your eyes and you will see deep within yourself.

Back to the Mother: The Life of Sacred Music by Kalidas
Rooted in the Bhakti yoga tradition, my music became a way to honor the lives of some of the great beings that has made my life rich and meaningful. Bhakti yoga consists of channeling all of one’s energy to the Divine. The theory is simple: by thinking of the Divine, by contemplating the Divine, we can become Divine. Bhakti yoga sees the different religions as various paths to God. There are infinite paths actually because there are an infinite amount of beings in the universe. In this tradition, all are embraced. Every one of us has the seed of divinity, no matter how deeply it may be buried.

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle
Echkart Tolle's dynamic book about finding one's true self by quieting the mind and learning to live in the Now.
"When introducing his book, Tolle explains its basic premise as he writes,”…people would occasionally come up to me and say, ‘I want what you have. Can you give it to me, or show me how to get it?’ And I would say: ‘You have it already. You just can’t feel it because your mind is making too much noise.’ Tolle goes onto write, “That answer later grew into the book that you are holding in your hands.”

"The Past is in Front of You" by Stephen Thomson
We have become a culture of people who try to shun the past. It has become an active, obsessive campaign. And it is true, there is value in the idea of what’s in the past, should remain in the past. This is certainly true of the memory of any experience that holds our lives in place and prevents us from growing stronger and expanding as spiritual beings. However, we do continue to walk each day with conscious and unconscious memories being the backdrop to our lives. Not only are they a part of our thought-track, but emotional memory is translated into energetic forms that become lodged in our cells and various parts of our body.
