The Total Life Care Center, located in Norwalk, CT, forwarded the following information in a recent newsletter about a young man from Connecticut who is following in the footsteps of Bee Venom Therapy pioneer, Charles Mraz.  Alan not only sells honey from Champlain Valley Apiaries, owned and operated by the Mraz family, but, like Charles Mraz, he also supplies arthritis victims with new hope.

Practitioner Spotlight!

Alan Lorenzo of Bee Well Therapy

Practicing Bee Venom Therapy for the relief of symptoms from Arthritis, Bursitis, Tendonitis, Lyme Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and other spinal or musculo-skeletal ailments, (203)322-7872.

Bee venom therapy - BVT - One of the most effective alternative health remedies, was discovered by the Chinese over 2,000 years ago and used in conjunction with acupuncture points.  It later was adopted by eastern Europeans in the early 1800's.

Since the 1930's, Charles Mraz, a Vermont beekeeper, and New York City medical doctors, Bodog Beck and Joseph Broadman, recognized the healing power of bee stings, and pioneered American bee venom therapy.  They held live bees in tweezers, and allowed the bees to sting their patients directly on sore spots on their bodies, or on trigger points, which were sources for referred pain.  Among them, they have many documented successes of arthritic patients being able to walk again, and return to relatively normal lives after receiving BVT from live bee stings.

Father of Bee Venom Therapy, Charles Mraz
The healing potency of bee venom is initiated after a sting, when it stimulates the adrenal glands to produce cortisol, a natural human hormone that has anti-inflammatory properties.  The drug cortisone, imitates the hormone, cortisol, but its synthetic form can result in damaging side effects to the body.  Furthermore, it has been found that BVT jump-starts the immune system to produce a healing response through the hypothalamus, pituitary and adrenal glands.

Charles Mraz also believed from his observations that bee venom spurs the production of endorphins, the body's natural pain killer.

Today, the healing power of BVT can be received from Bee Well Therapy, Inc., a traveling BVT service that provides treatment on an affordable basis, in the comfort of your home, or in a health practitioner's office.

Alan Lorenzo is a member of the American Apitherapy Society, and CMAC-Certified through their Certificate of Knowledge exam on Apitherapy (using bees and products of their hives to treat health conditions).  Alan was initially trained by Dr. Theo Cherbuliez and Dr. Amber Rose to administer his own treatment plan.  Over three years, he has applied more than 1,000 bee stings to various areas of his body, which gradually eliminated pain.  The success Alan achieved in treating his tendonitis, bursitis and herniated disc problems encouraged him to help others with the affordable healthcare treatment of BVT.

If traditional medicine hasn't helped you with an ailment, and you would like to give bee venom therapy a try, then call Alan Lorenzo at 203-322-7872 for a free phone consultation.
