Going Beyond Our Genes: Bruce Lipton & the Study of Epigenetics

I first became interested in Bruce Lipton when I saw one of his broadcasts on Conscious TV. I found his lectures on Biology and Belief, and the power we have to affect our genes and DNA, to be absolutely fascinating. The idea that we can “switch off” a gene, or the predisposition to a disease fits with everything I know about the mind-body connection, and everything I believe to be true about the importance of mind over matter.

Liminal Moments by Cheryl Shainmark
Feeding Body & Soul

If you’d asked me a few years ago whether I’d be following a virtually wheat free, 90% vegetarian — hell, 90% vegan diet, I’d have said, “That’s nuts.” Now I’m likely to say, “That’s raw cashews to you, and by the way, do you know how many recipes you can make with them?” It’s safe to say that I’m not alone in making a big diet and lifestyle change, either. Based on the latest bestsellers, opinion pages in the New York Times, and an increase in vegetarian and vegan websites and buzz on the Internet, it seems we have reached some kind of “tipping point” toward a radical change in the way we eat and what we will accept from the food industry.

The Many Healing Qualities of Lion’s Mane Mushrooms

Are you familiar with Lion’s Mane Mushrooms? They have become the hot item for healthy eating. Vegetarians love them for their high protein content, while doctors and naturopaths go to them for their many healing qualities. Known by a variety of different names, such as bearded tooth mushroom, satyr’s beard,  hedgehog mushroom, pom pom mushroom, or  yamabushitake – the mushroom is often used as a meat substitute, since many say that they taste like shrimp or lobster when properly cooked.

Consciousness
Dowsing the Conscious Cosmos by Tim Walter

Tim Walter writes on www.knightsrose.com:  Dowsing seems to be the easiest way to literally access part of the quantum layer of existence in our realities…. Most of us aren’t lucky enough to witness the amazing visual display of the aurora during our lives let alone such a dramatic display from such a remarkable viewpoint. It’s a heart-stopping and lump-in-the-throat inducing image.

Getting to the Heart of the Matter with Jin Shin Jyutsu by Mitzi Adams

Getting to the heart of the matter in your everyday life is actually doable. Imagine being able to send energy to the heart via your pinky finger, to promote heart healthy changes. Seems too simple and outrageous, right? Well, it can be done! In fact, that little phalange sitting on the end of your hand, can be a huge helper in times of need. The life force in the body is activated through energy. This energy can be activated by the use of Jin Shin Jyutsu®, an ancient Japanese healing art form utilizing the fingers, toes, and what are called, “safety energy locks,” in the body, to stimulate the flow of vital energy.
