The Wheatgrass Miracle

The Wheatgrass Miracle: Wheatgrass has long been known as an excellent source of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and chlorophyl. Traditional Chinese Medicine uses wheatgrass to strengthen the kidneys and blood (and reverse gray hair!), linking the loss of pigmentation to weak kidney function rather than old age. Modern medicine has proven wheatgrass to be a natural immune enhancer, detoxifier, and blood booster. It has been shown to add oxygen and aid hemoglobin formation, increasing the red blood cell count.

Wheatgrass, also known as couch grass or dog grass, is a member of the genus triticum aestivum, and includes several wheat like grasses. It is available as a juice, powder concentrate, tablet, caplet or tincture. It has been used to treat a variety of illnesses, including diabetes, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel disease, bladder infections, kidney stones, bacterial infections and more. It protects the liver by detoxing and neutralizing heavy metals, drugs, and other cancer causing pollutants from the system.

In addition to vitamins A, C, E, and a range of B vitamins, wheatgrass contains iron, calcium, magnesium, over 90 minerals, and amino acids. It is made up of over 70% chlorophyll, a substance now thought to contain cancer fighting properties. It is thought to lower cholesterol by blocking its absorption, and may contain anti-inflammatory properties that would aid arthritis sufferers.
