| by Eliza Mada Dalian

A time of crises is a blessed time because it offers us two choices; we can either hold on to the old falling structure and continue living in fear and anxiety about tomorrow, or take advantage of the opportunity to look inside and courageously find new ways of living and interacting with each other and the world around us.”

Life After Near Death by BBC News

A hospital on the south coast of England is currently testing the validity of near death experiences by placing unusual objects randomly around a cardiac ward. If a patient’s near death experience report includes the object and its location, weight must inevitably be added to their stories. And despite medical theories which suggest the phenomena is the result of the mind and body’s biological and psychological response to imminent death, the professor says he believes there has to be more to it than just science. He said: “Not everyone who is near death has this experience – it just does not follow that it is a last physical response to death. “This is an experience which transcends cultures, religions and classes – I believe this experience is probably the base for our belief in an afterlife.”

The Role Our Parents Play by Stephen Thomson

| by Stephen Thomson

Who are our parents, but people just like us? In so many ways their life path is our life path. They are in our lives as role models and to show us the way. If we stop to think about it, we start to see how many of the same soul issues and life lessons they share with us. However, our problem rests with the very subtle terms of our expectation that they are Gods or at least God-like. We fail to see then as human and journeying a path, just as we are. Our expectation for them is to be stronger and better than us, when in fact they may be at best just a few steps ahead. Our parents are just another example of how to do it and are mirrors for our soul and karma, no different than we.

The Hidden Spirituality of Men — Ten Metaphors to Awaken the Sacred Masculine By Matthew Fox

| by Cheryl Shainmark

Don’t think for one second that this is a book only for men — women can benefit from this as well — at the very least, they can help the men in their life to become comfortable and open about their spirituality, and that is no small thing. But at a deeper level, women can re-awaken their own masculine energy and learn to honor it. As the author points out, women tend to equate male energy with violence, greed and domination and become unbalanced themselves as a result of ignoring or stifling what they consider to be “masculine” impulses. This is as skewed a perspective in its own right, as the traditional patriarchal denigration of feminine energies that has been going on until relatively recently, and just as harmful.

Wisdom Of The Peaceful Warrior Deck: Inspiration Cards by Dan Millman

| by Monique Muhlenkamp

Over the years since Dan Millman wrote his fantastically successful first book, Way of the Peaceful Warrior, thousands of readers have written to him asking for clarifications about the often cryptic spiritual truths found in it’s pages. In response, he wrote the 2007 follow-up, Wisdom of the Peaceful Warrior, which articulates more clearly the philosophies and wisdom conveyed in the earlier book… Now, he refines that wisdom even further, with a fifty-two card deck showcasing the essence of his spiritual philosphy in bite sized morsels. Written in Dan’s clear, playful style the aphorisms embody spiritual philosophies old and new and offer prescriptive, practical lessons that readers can apply directly to their lives.
