The Divine Matrix — Bridging Time, Space, Miracles, and Belief by Gregg Braden

I’ve been a fan of Gregg Braden’s work for over ten years, so perhaps I’m a little bit biased — but I can tell you that The Divine Matrix is phenomenal! Braden’s books just keep getting better and better, and we the readers are the beneficiaries. It’s as if the wisdom he presents is getting more distilled with each book.

Braden’s specialty has always been to combine a fascinating blend of the very latest in cutting edge science with the best of the ancient writings and indigenous wisdom from around the world. The Divine Matrix is the best of science made simple along with meaningful examples and anecdotes of why this science matters to us today, both for the world we live in now, and for the world we wish to create. Don’t be put off by the idea of “science” — it’s less than a third of the book and it’s extremely interesting. For many readers this may be your first glimpse of the research that supports what you’ve always known in your heart: that we are all connected, that we create the reality around us and that we are spirits unbound by space or time. For the cognoscenti, there are still new gems — new experiments and new keys to making this all work in the real world.

“Keys” are what Braden is offering here. He lists twenty keys to conscious creation along with the science, anecdotes and insights he has mastered for how to use them. This stuff is powerful — The Divine Matrix may be the most important book you read this year. The first part of the book presents the science, and the rest covers the information and insights you need to recognize what you are creating now (consciously or subconsciously), and how to change it if it is not what you desire.

Perhaps the most important portions of the book deal with the language of the universe — how you communicate what becomes your reality and more important, how the universe communicates back to you. This is where Braden excels — his own examples and anecdotes from others are fascinating and full of wisdom. If you don’t recognize yourself or your loved ones in many of these stories, than you haven’t been paying attention.

I would recommend this book to anyone who desires a change — in their own lives, their relationships, their job, or in the larger world around them. Whether your focus is finding the love of your life, stopping destructive patterns, or ending war and violence in our world, this book has something to offer. Braden cites an interesting statistic in his book — that less than one percent of any population (actually the square root of one percent) can change the reality around them, and that for the entire world to change all that is required is for 8,000 to focus on it. I find that an amazingly hopeful figure, and while I’d like to think that many of that 8,000 are already on the job and improving our world, I would be satisfied if I thought the rest were coming as a result of reading The Divine Matrix.

This experience, and these stories, have changed my life. To come to this powerful awareness can dispel much of the fear of death and loneliness that afflicts many of us. No longer afraid of death, we can embrace life. No longer plagued by feelings of loneliness and worthlessness, we can be comforted by the knowledge that we are never alone. We find ourselves more secure, content and whole. This is an essential component to any notion of healing.

Mehmet Oz by Chip Brown

| by Chip Brown

“Most allopathic doctors think practitioners of alternative medicine are all quacks,” Oz says. “They’re not. Often they’re sharp people who think differently about disease.” Some colleagues of his father-in-law said they weren’t going to refer patients if Dr. Lemole was going to put them on low-fat diets. Now low-fat diets are gospel.”

Be a Co-creator in the New Year by Stephen Thomson

| by Stephen Thomson

The year 2008 vibrates with the number one. In Numerology, when the vibration of one is present, it is a very important time of new beginnings. In our personal lives we invent beginnings and endings; they give our lives a sense of time and space. With the one energy comes a lot of personal thinking about who were are, what we are feeling and want. During this period seeds will be planted that we tend, nourish and grow. This is done by our conscious and unconscious actions. Also, there are the impulses and voice of our higher-self speaking to us, clearer in this cycle than many others. We all receive direction from the deepest part of us, the soul voice, about what we need to do to move our lives forward as spiritual beings.
