Seeds of Death: Unveiling the Lies of GMOs

First released in 2012, Seeds of Death – Unveiling the Lies of GMOs exposes the dangers of genetically modified foods and features leading scientists, physicians, professors, attorneys and activists. Directed and written by Gary Null and Richard Polotnesky, the film investigates the corruption surrounding GMOs and the deception being perpetrated against the world. As we read on www.documentarystorm.com:

“In today’s supermarkets, you’d be hard-pressed to find food that didn’t contain some form of genetically modified substances. These genetically modified substances’ effects on our health are completely unknown and Big Industry players such as Monsanto , DuPont , and Syngenta , are essentially exposing us to one of the largest and dangerous science experiments ever conducted on our civilization.

// // Over the past ten years or so, there has been a huge surge in the awareness of the potential dangers and effects these foods may have on our health. However, proponents of GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) in the food industry, who all happen to have a vested interest in it’s use, argue that using bioengineered food is necessary to keep up with the world’s population demand for food. This claim isn’t backed by much evidence and many are skeptical.”

The controversy is, do these GMOs really bring value to us as a society or is it doing more damage than anything else. This full-length feature film documentary, Seeds of Death, answers this question with a resounding “no,” featuring the world’s leading Scientists, Physicians, Attorneys, Politicians and Environmental Activists who expose the corruption and dangers surrounding the widespread use of Genetically Modified Organisms.

Once you’ve watched the film, we recommend that you review the “Question and Answer” fact sheet deconstructing Monsanto’s and Big Agriculture’s GM claims.

Among the leading scientists featured is Arpad Pusztai. Pusztai was one of the first scientists to raise concerns about the safety of genetically modified foods. In the late 1990s, Pusztai, a respected molecular biologist, conducted research on GM potatoes for the Rowett Institute in Scotland. The potatoes were genetically altered to produce lectins, natural insecticides, to protect them against aphids. Pusztai conducted feeding studies on rats and found that the potatoes damaged the animals’ gut, other organs, and immune system. In 1998, Pusztai expressed his concerns about GM foods on a British television program and was promptly suspended and forced to retire from his position. Dr. Pusztai’s research was later peer reviewed and published in The Lancet, a leading British medical journal.

Ask Li Chen: Channeled Messages on Forgiveness

| by Jocelyn Graef

Forgiveness is letting go. Letting go of hurt, feelings of revenge, feelings of requiring “justice,” feelings of being owed, feelings of anger — all these negative feelings that serve to poison your heart…. While it is quite natural to respond with powerful emotions when a wrong has been done against you, there comes a time when the balance is tipped and it is time to release and move on. F orgiveness is not an act of condoning harmful action. Rather it is intention to forgive that allows for hearts to heal. From www.jocelyngraef.com

Memories of Charlotte

| by Merryn Jose

My mother-in-law Charlotte passed away a few weeks ago, at the ripe old age of 98. She had led a good, useful life and was a practical, strong minded, intelligent woman who was one of the first full time High School guidance counselors in New York City. Sometimes in life we are given an extra gift and that’s what I felt when I met Charlotte. From the very moment we met she was my ally, and throughout the years she proved this again and again, with her kindness and concern for my welfare…

Why We Forgive by Desmond Tutu and Mpho Tutu

| by Staff

There were so many nights when I, as a young boy, had to watch helplessly as my father verbally and physically abused my mother. I can still recall the smell of alcohol, see the fear in my mother’s eyes, and feel the hopeless despair that comes when we see people we love hurting each other in incomprehensible ways. If I dwell in those memories, I can feel myself wanting to hurt my father back, in the same ways he hurt my mother, and in ways of which I was incapable as a small boy. I see my mother’s face and I see this gentle human being whom I loved so very much and who did nothing to deserve the pain inflicted upon her.

Remembering The Power of Words

| by Staff

In a recent article in Spirituality & Health , the editors write about the power of words: All too often, we take the people we love the most for granted: our lovers, family members, friends, and even our children. We forget the enormous power of our words, as we carelessly lash out when under stress. We stick our noses in our laptops and smart-phones, assuming our loved ones know what we are failing to verbalize, sometimes until the relationships are disconnected or damaged beyond repair.

Companies Quietly Remove GMOs From Their Products

There is a quiet movement afoot among food maufacturers: without fanfare or publicity they are quietly removing or replacing the GMO ingredients in their food. Why the big secret? Because no one knows yet who will win the ongoing GMO battle: big agri-business with their fight to deny GMO labeling and expand their use, or the educated consumer pushing back for labeling, informed choice or removal of modified ingredients.
